The car is almost finished, I have even made a visit to my local SVA station and meet the test, a very helpful chap!
So my next saturday morning project is a towing dolly ( i've always had a need for one). I want to make the sort of one that lifts the fron
wheels off the road.
Does any one know of, or have a set of basic free plans?
Cheers in advance,
The Baron

The idea of a dolly has been talked about before. The problem is they are not legal for use other than for recovering a car in an emergency to a safe place. The problem is that any trailer having an all up weight ( car+trailer in this case) of 750KG or more must have automatic brakes on all wheels...Unless you car is very light this is almost impossible.
Aren't most car engined locosts around 650kg ish?
Leaving you with 100kg for the dolly before you're over the 750kg and require brakes...
I can thoroughly recomend one of these...

Thet don't lift the front wheels up, but are east to use, compact when not used.
