Can anyone verify if MK make up their R1 exhaust cans from 'standard' sized tubing?

In particular the small pipe at the front of the can and the link pipe from the 4-2-1 collector.

I need to make a small kinked link pipe to fit between the 4-2-1 collector and my can to allow me to fit my CAT at the right angle for SVA

I wanted to make it out of mild steel (because thats all i can weld!)

i was planning on going to my local exhaust place and rummaging through their scrap bin and finding some suitable pipe to cut and shut- assuming standard production exhaust tubing comes in the same size as the stainless used by MK
