Just a long shot but has someone got the part number for the large two pin rad fan switch.
Sticks in the back of the rad between the inlet and outlet pipes. Mines not working and I couldn't see any numbers on it. I would rather get
another first before removing the old one.
Cheers
I can't help you with the part number I'm afraid, but if it does turn out to be the switch that's faulty, can I be cheeky and ask for
the old broken one if it's just going in the bin. I have a polo rad for my build, but nothing to plug the rad switch hole at the moment
Happy to pay postage and owe you a Beer
Thanks,
Bill

Just go to your local motor factor and select one with the desired on/off temperatures. It really is that easy - VW shares the same thread as loads of other manufacturers.

Does anyone know where I could get a fitting that will screw into a polo radiator (M22 I beleive) that I can then screw the Koso temperature sensor into (not sure what size that is). Is it likely to be a custom part?

I would suspect that was another part number for me!
Thanks for the replies.
Bilbo - I'll keep you in mind but I'm just about to have a go at wiring up my ECU control for the rad fan. I've got all the wires
sorted to connect to a relay but I'm stuck for the pin out on the ECU. Nothing in the manual or on the website Grrr! Just have to phone OMEX
tomorrow for the right one.
