Have a look at Halfords Professional tools indestructable with lifetime warranty and half the price of snap on and teng .

10-10 for value and quality

Having now recieved my sealey catalogue - halfords tools are twice the price of the sealey 'professional' range

They look good value to me. But you can't beat the "lifetime" warranty.

DaveFJ - 12/9/03 at 11:35 AM

You want to watch out for those 'lifetime' warranties, in my experience they refer to the lifetime of a mayfly............

I took a Britool spanner back and the shop swapped it no questions, I didn't buy it from them but they said it didn't matter any dealer should honour the warranty.

yours, Pete.

My uncle is a council mechanic in Scotland and bent a tommy bar doing up a JCB hub nut, When he complained to Britool they sent their rep to come and see him, he accused him of using a tube for extra leverage, he set him straight and bent the replacement there and then infront of him (he is a big Fecker) the rep gave him a 200 piece britool tool kit for his own use and told him too keep quiet about the tommy bar!

Took two Craftsman ratchets back to Sears recently. Got two replacements no questions asked.
