This is less than 5 miles from me. Never met the builder, never seen them on here, didn't join the NE7ER's.

Completed in July '07 up on ebay now.

nearly as scary as the price he is asking for the car

ReMan - 2/8/07 at 08:50 PM

Looks smart and a nice tidy build, but at that price I'd want proper expensive clocks, not the Sierra dash unit

To be fair though Mike, it has got a Pinto engine in it. And he's done a whole 167 mile in it, which is 167 more than I would have done before deciding to sell it and go BEC

Well Mike, all I can say is the world is a small place.

Couple of years ago I bought a lawnmower off a guy I regulary say in the club. When I went to get it he had a Locost in the garage. At the time I had a Striker and used to scare my mates to death and they talked about it every Friday night. He never mentioned he had one.

And, until I started going to the se7en meetings I wasnt aware of a Robin Hood meeting. Then when I met the guys from it I found out that there was kit car in number 10, just up the road from me in number 26. Straight up the road and never seen it!

Oh, and I can tell you there are at least 7 old traction engines around me but if you went looking for them you would never find them.

You just never know whats going on around you.....

He already has Ben, though I don't think he's ventured as far as the pub yet....

I often wonder why builders sell their cars so soon after completion. Can it be that he is so dissappointed with it or does he just love the building process more than driving it?

I think that is the primary reason. For a lot of people the reward is the journey, not arriving at their destination.

Very true.
Year 6 for me next year, but I won't be rushed!
