Well, 48 hour honeymoon flight delays n all that pale into insignificance......
Hello from the Dominican republic, yes we are still here 3 weeks in.........
Last Sunday what we thought was a tummy upset, you expect them here but she didīnt have the side effects if you get my drift turned out to be a mad
dash accross the island, 2 1-2 hours in theatre, 3 days in intensive care and now just completeing the 1st week in hospital.
June is out of danger now and on the mend but we expect to be here at least one more week before she gets the fit to fly nod from the doctors.
Please please anyone thinking of traveling do not for a moment think about traveling without insurance, we are fully covered, they have been great but
I see at least one hard luck story a day here of people coming in without it, 1st question they ask is name, 2nd who is your insurance provider, 3rd
whats wrong with you.
Get insurance.
Iīm now in a local hotel during the day with internet cafe so catching up on what you guys have been up too.
See you all later guys.
All the best Jon. Hope things improve.
Steve
Jeeeez!!!
What bad luck (to put it mildly).
You don't expect to come back from honeymoon a jibbering wreck with nerves of jelly....
Hope the recouperation is speedy and quick.
ps try to persuade the Doctors to say that she needs at least three weeks lying near a pool somewhere with a wonderful view before she can fly
(accomodation on the insurance of course!!!)....
Oh-my-god.
I suppose its something to remember for all the wrong reasons - contact the insurance company when you get back. You should hopefully get some of the
money for the holiday back so you can have another break (without the trouble) in the near future.
glad to hear you're both ok.
I'll second the insurance thing - i buy mine yearly so i'm covered irrespective of what i do (including dangerous sports). Its just not
worth the risk.
All the best for you and the MISSUS Jon!
Steve
I echo all the sentiments Jon,
Hope everything works out well
Dave
what a nightmare glad your covered and best wishes to June, hope she continues to recover quickly
Rich
Get back safe Jon and June. Hope it's not too long before she gets out. You'll have to try another honeymoon later, Skeggy is a safe bet.
Best of luck with everything mate!
I have painted my chassis.....so thats whats been hapnin
Not quite what you'd want from a Honeymoon Hope everything turns out OK. Best of luck Jon
Bummer
Hope the good lady makes a speedy recovery and you get back home safe and sound.
Nick
Best Wishes and Get Well Soon to the Missus!
Agree about the insurance, my girlfriend had to have her appendix out in Canada this Easter. Insurance paid out (eventually) about Ģ10k!
Keep receipts and documentation for everything!
Her insurance company were right arses asking for things like evidence (a receipt) that she'd got a refferal from a GP before going to
hospital!
Who gets a receipt when they go to a GP?!!!!
Cheers,
James
Best wishes and hoping for a speedy recovery. Colin
