I have booked tickets for my family to visit London and see a west end show at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. I thought I would combine it with a short
stay break during school half term and also take the kids sightseeing.
Do any of you guys have recommendations for hotels to stay at on say a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night?? Would prefer to be near the theatre but
it's not essential.
Looking for five star accommodation at two star prices if at all possible.

Hoxton Hotel
idk where abouts in London it is but it's teh sh1zz
Stop out of the Royal National at Russell Square, its cheap but the Pits full of travellers!
Work sent me there - i moved hotels, Hilton is nice
It depends how much folding you're going to go for!!!
Personally I'd go for something cheap but servicable like a Travellodge(!)... Fri/Sat/Sun they do special deals....
Certainly not 5 star though....
I would have recommended the Prince Regent Hotel on Piccadily but it's closed for refurbishment!!
london aint cheap,5 star hotel prob means less fleas in the bed.
brush up on your polish before you go
The Columbia is where we used to stop, full of rock stars and was quite reasonable too. Been out of the music business a few years though so it might
have changed a bit.

Wstopped at the Royal Norfolk in Paddington during the summer fro 3 nights and it was OK. A bit dated and very small rooms, but ensuite, clean and
tidy.
Nice Polish crew serving breakfast and a stunning African girl on reception
If you want modern clean digs the Premier lodge or the like are the way to go. IMHO!!
I did a theatre and hotel deal a couple of years back, stayed at the Montague IIRC really close to theatre land and very good.
Best bet is to look at lastminute.com they do secret hotel deals, these are generally good hotels that are selling off rooms well below rack rate, so
far below they don't want people to know how low the prices are. I have had some really good deals from this over the years.

I recently did the same and stayed at the hilton in paddington - close to theatre land and the hotel is right opposite the tube. Convenient, nice
hotel, and reasonable price.
Steve.
Try the boat out at Docklands. Often worth a look on laterooms.co.uk.

the travel lodge at covent garden is good value if you book in advance at £26 for a BIG family room and walking to theatre land.
for 5 star try the hampshire in leicester sq and get on the first floor with the tinted arch windows overlooking the sq. will make you feel like a
movie star and cost like one as well.................... bud and a baileys £9
remember as with all city breaks location and price should prevail over quality IMHO.
