Hi guys bit early to be thinking bout this seeing as the car isnt built yet but any recommendations for beginner track days to test your cars limitations? i saw mark evans on the "racing car is born" series and he went on an converted aerodrome sort of thing which looked like a good idea so does anyone know of any in the south east?

cheers
Adam

Interesting article in this months PPC about budget trackday cars. One thing they suggested, that I hadn't thought about, was fitting cheap tyres for your first few outings. That way you would find the limit of grip at lower speeds. Rather than have your first taste of back end breaking away at very high speeds.

Also I suppose it wouldn't matter if you locked them up / had a spin and flat spotted them.

Hope that helps and good luck with the build.

Mike

Alot of people use them and I can honestly say that they a very well run and on all the ones I have done with them I have never been any problems.

Also they are superb value.

I would be quite happy at organising track days in the north as i have a few contacts but would depend on how early people payed up etc and how far we booked ahead for the best price available!

any way im off to 'mph'.

I'd second Motorsport Events, I did their Academy day a few years ago, and after a few of their airfield days, all off which were good value, well organised and good fun with plenty of track time.
