Go into control panel / edit profile

copy and paste what you've got in Avatar URL here and I'll tell you!!

You need to upload it into your photo archive first...

Open it......right click on the picture, choose 'copy picture location'

Open your Control panel, 'edit profile'

scroll down to 'avatar'...
then right click and paste into the box

i'd say no more than 200 pixelsish

it just wastes space on the screen if not.

Ok...right click on the picture Mr Whippy has resized, and choose 'save as'

save it to your desk top

Now go to your pic archive, and upload the picture you have saved to your desk top

when you have uploaded it,
open it,
right click on it and choose 'copy image location.....

then follow directions as per my previous post

ahh you've just removed the picture from your archives that I was going to resize for you...

then I was going to post the full link to past into your avatar address.

anyway

it's dead easy, save the picture as a JPEG, size 200 wide by 150 tall.

upload it into your archives and click on the picture, note the file name at the bottom, it's not always the same as your file was as everyones pictures are stored in the same place. Take the link address for my avatar replacing my file name (ignore the -'s) for yours and paste the whole lot into your avatars address. It should then work.

do not put [img] at either end as it appears to say in tghe instuctions, seems to catch quite a few out that one
