philw - 30/6/08 at 02:44 PM

I think it's a brook or brooke.

02GF74 - 30/6/08 at 02:45 PM

that looks expensive

(the unleaded I mean!)

Paul TigerB6 - 30/6/08 at 03:00 PM

Correct Phil - Brooke ME 190

joneh - 30/6/08 at 05:25 PM

All I see is a red frog?

BenB - 30/6/08 at 05:58 PM

Yup. It's a Brooke. Famously Fifth Gear tested it resulting Jason Potato saying he "didn't get" cars like Caterhams..... Plonker.

iank - 30/6/08 at 06:00 PM

Not a kit IIRC
http://www.brooke-kensington.co.uk/me190.shtml

Though the links are getting broken and there isn't a link to the ME190 from their home page which means it probably isn't being actively made/marketed anymore.

Used to be a kit marketed as brooke me190 as said.
It's now being pedalled as a fully built car only for about 30k...!

TimC - 3/7/08 at 12:27 PM

Yes it's actually a 'Brooke Double R' priced at £31,995. If I could find last month's EVO I could tell you a bit more, but I can't.

The original Brooke was a single seater.

JC - 3/7/08 at 08:38 PM

The original Brooke was the 245, a Renault 5 based single seater - came out at the same time as the hudson Mystic 3/4 wheeler, also R% based. The ME190 was launched as a kit with Vauxhall power. Then the people that brought ginetta became involved and exported fully built cars to Japan. Finally it came to where it is now!!!

Hope that is interesting to someone!!!
