Thats what I used but mine look a bit sad
But then , I did them nine years ago (any one know how to get the stuff off to re-paint them ? )

Black direct to metal hammer(sh)ite. Been getting pretty damn hot when racing and not flaked off yet.

Hammerite or Halfords caliper paint. £ per litre = Hammerite for me

Hi Piddy,
I used Metal Protect spray cans from B&Q. It covers really well and the finish is excellent.
Cheers
Stu.

Halfords is the stuff - the yellow is particularly fetching. I did find it needed a few coats to build up a really solid colour but has been bullet proof ever siince and survived my recent fire intact.

Ok I'll give the Halfords stuff a try.
Thanks.

Maybe a bit late now ,but I used Hammerite on my tin top over 2 1/2 years ago and was still going strong.

Painted the Westie brakes last year, not done many miles, but still looking good.
