Hi there

Hey every1one, im new here.

Ok I need some help on deciding what Kit Car to get. I have put it down to either a Tiger avon or a Aries locost.

The Aries seems to be a bit more appealing to me but cant find any real information about it, where as the Tiger Avon quite a few people have done it, but you dont seem to get many things to pick for it?

Any help would be really great!
Thanks
Hammond

IIRC The "Aries" Locost used to be the "Stuart Taylor" Locost....quite a few of them around...

Warm welcome. Lot's of info and help here.

What brought you to shortlist those two, against the other "popular" choices?

Cheers

Aries as said is ex Stuart Taylor Motorsport ie racing bred.... I'm biased but that's what I'd go for!!!

I would be tempted to add Mac1,Mk and MNR to your list. get to some shows and take a look at the cars.

I have looked around but the Aries and the Tiger are the in my affordable range, as this will be my 1st kit car I dont really know if there are any others that are in the price range of mine. But I am very tempted to go with the Aries

i sat in the Aries loco today at the peterbough show and liked it. all though is the same as mine but factory version. they seemed like top guys there as well took time to have a chat even though they knew i had a 7 allready

Does anyone know the difference between a Locost and a Locoblade for the Aries??

chrisg - 10/8/08 at 08:53 PM

Yes

Oh sorry, you want me to tell you?

Locoblade has a Honda Fireblade engine in it, Locost has a car engine.

I have reached the limits of my expertise.

Cheers

Chris

PS what about a Haynes Roadster?

Does anyone live around my area in kent? I would love to have a look at your cars and get in the spirit for it! Any1??
