just gauging intrest before i decide what to do, i have a book chassis 99% complete which i have converted to IRS complete with Luegeo wishbones and uprights, new GAZ shocks and springs fully reconditioned gearbox (type 9) fitted with burton powers taller first gear.
a 2l pinto fuly rebuilt but badly painted, could do with a repaint, fully reconditioned hubs front and rear diff has been stripped and checked 6 months ago, perfect order but i cant remember the ratio, a pair of webber 40's c/w manifold and linkages, fibreglass nosecone, rear wings scuttle and dash, complete sierra steering colum c/w keys stalks and wiring, a mk2 escort steering rack probably best for exchange on a new unit set of front camber adjusters, full set of CBS polybushes

probably a load of other smaller bits and bobd i cant remember right now

i dont really want to sell up but im not managing to have time to do anything to it with awife and 3 ankle biters monopolysing my time now lol

I've got a wife and 3 small kids and don't get much time but it can be done.

Get the wife to agree some time each week when you can work on the car.

When it's finished you'll love it, and the kids friends will all be impressed!

After getting pretty much a nill reply for my part built kit, I going to push on and get it finished it will be worth a lot more that way!

Take 3 days off work send the wife to the grandparents lock yourself in the garage for 5 days get a couple of mates round you'll make loads of progress!

Agree with the above statements, remember you are not on the planet for a look around, at the end you cant go back and do all the things you wish you had.

Why sell now when you'll just regret it and start again in a few years time (when do doubt the regulations will be even tighter).

Even if the weather at the moment is so blooming rubbish that you'ld have to be balmy to think about building an open top sports car....

Didnt touch my car for what must have been 2 years then one morning told the wife and 4 kids that my car comes first and ill spend every waking hour on it, only kidding but i did negotiate with swmbo some time usually sundays to spend on the car and im well on track now and everyone is happy.
compromise is the future, and sounds like your so close to completion

Think of all the time you waste doing utterly pointless stuff like watching TV.... convert that into car time and voila!

I haven't had TV since December when I moved into my own place- sometimes I don't know what people are on about when discussing Big Brother or Eastenders..... it's a real loss!

Have someone over to get you going. You'll be done in no time. If I can build a car here in Canada with no unpaid help on hand, then you can do it there with helpers all over the place.

Keep at it, i lost time and hope after a knee injury but back on it now.

Frequently have days like that due to a Cobra build.
I just down tools and walk away for a few days. Now selling it would feel like throwing it to the wolves.
If it really is 99% finished, imagine how you would feel if it was 100%, if you don't smile, then sell it (next year).

Get a ride in a seven to give you a bit of an incentive. Going away for a few days on Sunday but will get in touch when I come back. Mel

I restored a Mini, which started to take over. All i needed was a kettle, and i would have stayed in the garage full time.
Me n the wife agreed that i would spend one morning a week to start with. I managed to negotiate an evening as well, so overall about one day per week and i got it done.
Stick with uit buddy, and dont let it seem bigger than it really is.... Youll know what i mean when you prioritise each job, and finish a few.
