Paul TigerB6, your link works for me, thanks

Did he register the top speed at the SVA as 88mph?

piddy - 30/9/08 at 03:39 PM

Thank for the direct link. that's a lot easier.

Car has been SVA'd , inspected and properly registered by DVLA who have issued registration number and V5 with correct details for the Robin Hood.
The cops appear to be chasing him for technicaly driving the donor without current MOT. They don't seem concerned that the registration number shown on the car is different from the donor.
Wonder if the donor was never declared scrapped when the Hood was registered and it somehow has two identities?

And typical that the police threaten the motorist with prosecution when its clearly an administrative error on the part of the DVLA (again). You would think that producing the V5 to them showing its a Robin Hood and not a Sierra would lead to them taking a common sense aproach and saying to him to sort it out with the DVLA rather than continue with the threats.

If that is the case then its down to the local local DVLA office who issed his registration making a mistake. Does sound like thats what has happened though doesnt it - the DVLA havent removed the Sierra from the system

If you watch the vid carefully you will instantly notice the problem. The DVLA have made a mess of the V5, it show date of first registration etc as 06 06 1986, that ain't right so by that log book, it is due a MOT.
