Anyone know who's car/trailer this is?
I once had a explanation on how the trailer was fabricated, but lost it and also lost any contact details.

If you find out I would also like to know, as I am sure would others on here.

No worse than bending the car around a country bend or roundabout at 60MPH.

The axle units and tow hook are silly expensive new.... if you can find them second hand somewhere... you could halve hte price of the trailer!

Peteff - 24/5/09 at 11:37 PMIf you're towing it with a car on you want brakes on the trailer. The wheels and tyres on the trailer in the top picture look totally inadequate for the job they are doing unless it's just for moving it round the yard.
mad4x4 - 25/5/09 at 06:35 AMAlso Trailer need Ligths and Mudgaurds to be legal.
THe traier is only rated to 750KG due to lack of Brakes. That is if the hubs can take take weight.

And how much do you think a se7en should weigh?
Peteff - 25/5/09 at 07:55 AMThe 750kg is only for vehicles heavy enough to tow a trailer of that weight otherwise 2/3 the weight of the towing vehicle is a guide but it is still not ideal to tow a heavy unbraked trailer especially in less than perfect conditions like rain etc even with a larger vehicle.
Bob C - 25/5/09 at 10:34 PMWeyhey - that's my loverly trailer...
having borrowed trailers on a couple of occasions & it being a complete pain, I decided to make one. The trailer was made to the car so the ratchet straps are to stop it flying off somewhere if I crash, the car can't actually move on the trailer. The trailer weighs about 130kg & the car 440kg so I'm well under the 750kg limit and the 650ish limit for the tow car for an unbraked trailer.
I agree that if I were using it all the time I'd want something a bit better, but it's just basically for rescue now & hasn't been used for a year. It does have mudguards - the originals fell apart on the first journey so the replacements have aluminium bracing inside! The picture is after its 2nd journey back from a sucessful afternoon at the SVA in Chadderton.
It's basically 3 ally channels with a galvanised steel A frame & cost me a bit over £500 to make a couple of years ago
