Definitely gib with the "g" as in "gun" and not as in "gin" (the drink)

We do have a strange language.
If shass-ee is spelt chassis, if you have more than one, shass-eez is still spelt chassis. ???
I looked this up in Collins dictionary and it says....
"Chassis. the steel frame, wheels, and mechanical parts of a vehicle."
So all you kit builders, (shame on you ) when you go to pick up your chassis say,
"Oi, where's my wheels & engine then?"

Plural of chassis = Rich Git
Bone, zone, cone, tone, phone, stone, lone, scone. It really is that simple.
boo to Benzine
Far too sensible for your own good....
What abour "Gone"? That rhymes with scone!!!
And why is "Done" said dun not either to rhyme with cone or gone?
RE monocock....
Only posh people call it mono-Coke! bit like the scone debate.
And Fred, how do you say tomato?
And is it dance (like Dan) or donce?
Cheers

Having owned 5 & 6 speed boxes, in both bikes and cars, I actually prefer my 6 speed "gate" that I have in my tin top.
Wish it would fit in my seven.
