TomTom Navigator V7 PDA
coozer - 22/10/08 at 07:30 AM

Been trying to update my Navigo with Tomtom 7 and it works Ok although doesn't see any of the maps on the SD card.

Anyone upgraded to V7 with any handy 'tips'

Problem would seem to be finding V7 maps.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Intresting as I thought TT 6 was as high as you could go on PDA.

Just done a quick search in google ( and it seems that TT6 and TT7 use different maps supplied by diferent Comapies ) possibly not compatible ?.

Would have thought if it were possible TT would be selling V7 for PDA from there Website but could be wrong.

Will have a dig arround at dinner time.

Edited to add running TT6 on a SPV m600 ( windows mobile Ver 6 )

regards

Agiv8

Oh waiting with baited breath.

As there are a couple of roudabouts that I know of where it does not see them as roundabouts so makes an intresting choice of your exit is passed 12 o'clock if you get my drift.

I downloaded V7 and installed it on my device. It starts up OK goes through the language setting bit then says no maps found.

I've also downloaded a couple V7 maps but when I run the patcher its says not V7 so I'm thinking they a fake maps.

I'd be interested to know which map your using ILS?

Hi

I am using version 7.450.9028 off tomtom 7 and the map "TomTomGO Map Western and Central Europe v720.1803" but its almost 2gb in size so you need a big card.

I think you can get the map from Tomtom or using torrents.

I had to format both my card and my pda as the remains of version 6 was messing the new tomtom about.

Anyway try that map if that doesnt work we can try something else

EDIT: if you need any links for the software/maps send me a u2u

Any idea where I can download TomTomGO Map Western and Central Europe v720.1803??

May be a DUMB question and obviuos but just in case..., does that inlcude the UK? Whats the difference between that and the UK & IE one? Is it IE & Europe?

I just sent you a u2u with the links and yes it includes all of the UK and the rest of Europe one so if you go abroad a lot you don't need to change maps.

Will this work on a widescreen navigo, thought the widescreen threw a wobbler and would only work on TT v6.
Cheers,
Bob

good point never thought of that I don't know if that would make a difference

My navigo runs v7 but won't run the 7.45 on the PC Tailor website so I'm going to try 7 with the later maps. The version 7 on there works with normal and widescreen according to the text.

I'll try loading it today, there are some TT7 maps on piratebay (alledgedly) cant vouch for them though.
