ARP Bolts

Hi All,

Just got some ARP con rod bolts for the Duratec engine, can anyone tell me what type and size socket I need to tighten them up, as I don't recognise the pattern.

is it a torx pattern by any chance? a sort of 6 pointed star?

I thought all arp ones are 12 point and need a 12 point socket as found in most socket sets UNLESS you only have 6 sided sockets

^^ what he said

most of the ARP ones are Bi-Hex (12 pointed) the same as most normal sockets

My zetec arp bolts are 12 point which is just a normal 12 point bi hex socket not a 6 sided hex socket. IIRC they are 10mm?

As above, I just used a 12 point socket.

They should be 12point and take a 1/2" or metric 13mm socket

My zetec ones are 12 pointed bi hex 3/8 AF.
