As above i can see the small notch out of the pull but what do you line it up with to do the timing

Think its the same as the silver top , timing mark is on the end of the sump at approx 4 o'clock.

had a look seems to be a raised mark there but its about 5-6mm wide, would you time it off the middle of this?

From memory it is wedge shaped with one side of the wedge lining up with the center of the pulley bolt , that is the side to use the other side is way out of line. . Also check the pulley as it may have two marks about 25mm apart,if so when turning engine in direction of rotation use the second mark.
