WARNING: MOTORCYCLE SPARES NORTHWEST
MK9R - 22/9/16 at 09:02 AM

Warning on using motorcycle spares Northwest bike breakers. I bought a so called mint low mileage CBR from them a few weeks ago. Upon stripping turns out all 8 exhaust valves are pitted beyond relapping, crank damaged, oil pump worn, all stem seals need replacing and first gear is worn. They refuse to take back the engine so I'm left with a big rebuild bill. He is now posting saying I'm trying to con them, where as all I really wanted was the engine they actual said they were selling me.

I work for a dismantlers and you will have recourse some way.

How did you pay for it?

I presume you did not buy it in a business name?

You will be covered by distance selling regs assuming you bought it online/on the phone

Did they send any Terms and conditions of sale with the goods or did you have to accept any T&C online before ordering (presuming you bought it online/on the phone)

Is there any warranty offered?

Don't panic about it.

What year motor is it? I have a mint, fully rebuilt 2007 motor available if you are interested? If so then send me a PM. Also have a 2005 engine I have split down due to a worn head if you are needing any little bits and pieces to fix yours up.
