Please check my picture archive and let me know if mine is of any interest to you?

Krismc - 13/2/14 at 05:51 PM

My old MOTA is for sale.... High Spec and at a garage so you can get finance which is unusual on a Locost. Although the pics let the car down, the colour is a lot darker.

so here are some pics that I took.

mine was both.........it was a CEC. You cant with a BEC, all or nothing.

markmcc21 - 13/2/14 at 08:16 PM

Iv got £8.5k max and im after something as new as possible and thats very quick. Iv sold my zx10r and making a go on the kit car scene. So obviously a 130bhp kit car isnt going to cut it. Has to be road legal too as its going to be a wkend toy and the odd track day.

Cheers.

markmcc21 - 14/2/14 at 05:56 PM

Thanks for all the offers guys, some are just a little too far, or too old or too expensive for me. If theres anyone else still fancying selling theres certainly pass them my way for me to have a look.

Krismc - 14/2/14 at 06:59 PM

You are asking for a lot.

Very fast
Suitable for cruising
Suitable for track use
Newish
130bhp wont cut it (quite enough in a cec)
Under 8.5k

You cant have everything some times, but something might come along. Good luck.

markmcc21 - 14/2/14 at 07:04 PM

Nah I don't think I'm askig for a lot. £8.5k is a lot of money these days, well it is too me and I want the best I can afford. it's a buyers market and ill sit and wait for the right one. Thanks for the interest tho mate.

Regards

Matt21 - 14/2/14 at 09:05 PM

I got my 2009 MK indy for a little over £7k

its a fireblade engine, 140bhp, which tbh, is pretty damn fast! looking at 4seconds 0-60
i can cruise in it just fine at 60mph
great on track
it was very well made and has full cage etc etc

for £8.5k you can quite happily get something decent, its just finding it
if youre in no rush then just keep trawling ebay and the forums and you will find something

markmcc21 - 14/2/14 at 09:12 PM

Fancy selling it?! Ha ha I'm sure u love it. Gives me hope that I'll find something.

Cheers

Matt21 - 15/2/14 at 03:10 PM

markmcc21 - 15/2/14 at 03:45 PM

Cheers for this mate, I like that MNR!! Will see if hell lower his price.

Matt21 - 15/2/14 at 03:49 PM

another thing to remember, even if you don't like the look of them, theyre so easy and cheap to completely change!

markmcc21 - 15/2/14 at 03:52 PM

Have you ever considered turbo/super charging your bike engine? how much do you think it would cost?

Matt21 - 15/2/14 at 04:44 PM

I have thought about it, but never found an actual price

I think £2k plus

tbh, the car is faster than I am, I need to learn to drive it aswell as it can go.
where abouts are you? if youre local you're more than welcome to come for a look and see what you think of 130-140bhp

I know it doesn't sound like much, but its certainly no slouch!

markmcc21 - 15/2/14 at 04:47 PM

South shields just next to sunderland. I'm quite close to Guisborough. Iv been in the orange kit car above ^ was nice but haven't been in a bec which Tbh is probably the type of thing if way I want to go.

daniel mason - 15/2/14 at 05:09 PM

id imagine the R1 turbo engined fisher fury on ebay will be as fast as anything out there. not sure on potential issues with the turbo install though.
its on budget and seems to meet all your criteria apart from age which in my opinion is not an issue anyway!

markmcc21 - 15/2/14 at 05:13 PM

Tbh I'm a little weary with the blue R1 turbo. It looks good but think I'd rather pay a pro to install the turbo on my own car then buy one with a turbo already fitted as I'm not sure if budget might have cut corners. Unless of course paper work backed up a comprehensive build.

brookie - 15/2/14 at 05:53 PM

let me just say the red mnr for £9.5k sold on here not to long ago for £7k it over priced should be closer to £7k

markmcc21 - 15/2/14 at 06:00 PM

Thanks for the heads up mate. I did think it was a lot considering its the older model and also drum breaks with a 9.5k car? There's 2 bec mnr cars for sale on piston heads. Would you say thy are overpriced too?

Matt21 - 15/2/14 at 06:23 PM

ah not far away really.

like i say, feel free to pop down for a nosey if you want?
its in bits atm and im away at work, will certainly be back together by the end of the month.

daniel mason - 16/2/14 at 09:49 AM

that white zx10r vortx must be worth a shout! a lot of car for the money

markmcc21 - 16/2/14 at 09:55 AM

The R1 with the full roll cage sold for £9k so he dropped £750 & Tbh it's the one I wudv went for. If i could get the zx10r for a little less than asking price would be worth it?

gaz_gaz - 16/2/14 at 10:46 AM

how desperate are you.
I maybe selling my MNR but not right away.
its early MNR with outboard suspension.
has full cage. digidash, caterham r500 wheels etc etc.
I've just fitted a replacement carbed R1 motor that I bought straight out a bike with 8k miles on.

passed sva in 2009. I'd be after 7k ish but not before April
