changing the pdc on alloy wheels who can do it.
hi im looking for someone in scotland or some advice on how to change the pdc on my alloys.(i can redrill the whole easy its the tapered bit im not
sure of.)

a good machine shop will have everything needed for this simple task. Use yell.com and look up machine shop etc like this one below -

Without appearing pedantic (I hope!), its PCD not PDC.
From memory, it stands for Pitched Circle Diameter!

Bear in mind that the centre bore size may also be different.

Make sure that the bit you want to drill is as thick as where the original holes are - some alloys are thickened out around the holes.

I wouldnt do it. I would get different wheels with the multiple PCD or ford PCD. The wheels are the first thing that will hit potholes, speed bumps
etc, and there is no give between the wheel and the hub.

Had a friend do it for some alloys for his corsa. Insurance companies wouldn't touch him because of it.
If you don't declare it then you might end up like the recent landy driver in the news!

Have you ever thought it might be easier to modify the hubs ?
also what size are the centre bores (ford are 63.4mm I think)

i had my rear hubs re-drilled to accept ford pcd. used a local engineer and he done a spot on job, i wouldnt drill them out if i were you, get a good
machineshop to do it.

Re-drilling the hubs and fitting new studs has to be the way to go mechanically and cosmetically. A simpler job, but still best done with the correct
equipment.
