Again. Just showing the weekends progress.
Had a good one this weekend. got the exhaust built, so not loud anymore, the silencer is from a volvo 340, the inlet and outlet are offset top and bottom. nice and quiet tho. Repainted the whole of the bottom of the car and the interior ready for the interior to be fitted next week. Got the fuel sender working, it was reading full when it was empty and empty if it was full. Temp sender is posing a problem, but thats not for this part of the forum. Filled the engine with water and set about timing it. purrs like a kitten and starts well to (still using the oringinal mechanical pump). Made a form for the bonnet and bent that, remembering to leave enough for the folded ends on the front and back edges, now part of the SVA.
Pretty good weekeng all in all. Now I'm off to get ready for work tomorrow. Thats were i go for a rest.

You could use rubber edging trim on it, it's a lot easier than folding a double thickness of aluminium. How thick is your bonnet aluminium? If it's flush and sits in the recess on the nosecone and scuttle it should be alright.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
