A Bit of cheap "bling"

As those who have met me will know, I aint fussed what my car ends up looking like really - as long as it works.

But after a slight change of plan with the petrol tank and the headlights needed, I have had to buy a few bits and peices.

I think they look pretty good but even brand new were pretty cheap! Thought I'd share my bargains.

Petrol filler/cap - its not lockable but it is secure - its a DECK FILLER - marked up as "FUEL" and I think looks pretty good for the £17 it cost!

Headlights - oval from SVC, HELLA branded - look decent quality - less than £90 delivered. (I could have got cheaper, but the last cheap headlights I bought were duffs (£45 wasted.... grrr... )

other bits are ignition switch as my primary secuirty device (secondary being as hidden switch)

and last but not least a ford handbrake switch.

ok the last two aint bling, but still... its me spending money on new parts which is news worthy enough! Rescued attachment 101_1580.JPG

fuel filler is a DECK FILLER - search for it there are loads.

Mine is a 50mm one (due to the fuel hose it is connecting to) so that limited my choice.

Here is the auction, but there are loads of online shops that sell them too.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=400029303896&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=027

Just remember they don't lock, so some tee leaf might rob your fuel or pour water in!

Some of them are marked for diesel, so make sure you get one that isn't...that would just be embarresing (te he @ dinosaurjuice )

you can even get them in brass...if that is your thing

L&R headlights are usually the same unless the housings are handed for styling reasons (like a production car) surely? Same beam pattern is required for both lights.

Mine is an old carb'd blade - pre 95, so I dont need a cat.

And if there isn't a CAT then I don't need the restrictor.
