Cheapest way to move a chassis
I'm wondering if any has any suggestions for moving a chassis across the country other than in the back of a van? No towbar so trailer etc not
an option at present, although I guess this might be worth looking at.
How do companies send their chassis' - is it by courier/delivery company that could be used by joe public?
Cheers n beers

Mine arrived on a set of roof bars. If you don't want to get a full rack then Aldi might still have the inflatable HandiRacks in.

I'll nip to Aldi and hope for the best.
Cheers for the suggestion *wonders what else could be improved by pumping it full of air*

My chum put his sofa cusions on the roof of his company Mondeo and tied the chassis on through the open door windows. He soon realised that the
drivers door wouldn't open......

I laid a couple of 6*1 planks crosswise on my 306 to get my MK chassis home 150 miles from Langold. A few bits of rubber carpet underlay to spread the
load and ropes through the door and window apertures and round the tailgate hinges - it didn't move at all.

Don't do what me and a mate once did as students. He had to move digs, but it was just two blocks in a quite suburb. We put his double bed
upside down on the roof of his Datsun 120 Y (it was the 80's) . We didn't have any ropes, so thought we would just hold onto the bed with
an arm out the window each, with me in the passenger seat operating the gear lever with my right hand. All went well until we made a grand entrance at
his new digs, pulling up onto the verge and neglecting to notice some low hanging tree branches that swept the bed off the car into the centre of the
road.......
