Trackday Insurance
Guys,
we are currently shopping around for insurance cover. Some quotes include cover for trackdays and some don't. If we take a policy without
trackday cover, can we get trackday only cover through another insurer?

Competition Car Insurance will do trackday only cover but it's expensive and has a high excess.
Best bet is to try to get insurance that does not exclude trackdays but that's becoming more and more difficult as most insurers are starting to
specifically exclude it.
If you do find an isnurer that does not exclude it then it is imperative that you get them to put in writing that trackdays are not excluded otherwise
you will come to claim and they will just refuse.
I check with my brother who is an insurance ombudsman and he said if you get it in writing you will be covered otherwise they will not pay out. Some
will tell you it is ok over the phone but you could come to claim and then the conversation will be denied.
HTH,
Rich.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but has anyone got a decent quote on a BEC that includes (or doesn't exclude!) trackday cover and they've
got it in writing?
If so I'd like to know the company names. I'm with Flux at the moment and they've quoted me more than last year. Its not bad but
if I can swap to one that covers me for trackdays that would be fantastic.
