meeting felow fourm members from york erea
ive been on the forum for some years now and ive met manny of fellow members either at local meets or at shows and the other day i had the good
fortune to meet a local lad in my home town York ( Paul, or Paul the 6th ) as know on here and while chating we wondered how many more fourm members
where from sunny York, if there was enough of us in the area to get together one night for our own little meeting.

I'm from York.
Living up in the Dales now, but York is only 45 mins from me - less in the MNR

aye me and jim (repper) discussed the possibility of maybe forming a more regular York meet. Obviously we would all need to build our cars first but
I'm sure we can sort something out
I'm sure we could arrange something including booze for richK as well

I was born on the Ridgeway, Acomb, York but now live in Cornwall (since I was 9!) - that was 40 years ago.
All the female members of my family worked for Rountrees, and all the male members worked for the railway building carriages on Poppleton Road - both
are now gone.
I have this snapshot of York in my mind of of about 1968, I am sure most of it is unchanged since then - but my favorite shop has now gone -

What about the The Ainsty on Boroughbridge Road or the Black Bull on Hull Road, whichever side is best.
Cheers

I was down in York in mine today - forgot the races were on - b*gger.
I like the idea of a York meet.
The Ainsty sounds good for those of us coming in off the A59 - but I'm easy
