It Won't Fit... RS4 Adventure is Over!
Well, initial measurements suggested it would just squeeze into the Quantum, but the reality is... it won't
Oh, well... at least I tried!
Will get the RS4 lump fully built up, then put it on the market. Think I'll just plough my resources into the Duratec.

Don't give up.
I would check it again and again.
If in the end still doesn't fit, Take out the sledge hammer and make it fit

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Part of that answer is spot on.
It's not the engine that's wrong, it's the car.
The RS4 engine needs to go in the back of something, not the front.

Hey....Scott/Paul....will it fit in the Imp...?
Might need a few chassis mods and to relocate the drivers seat, but what a car that would be
Just a thought.....

That's what it was bought for... to go in the Spyder, but that project is about as likely to progress as quickly as my dreams to become an F1
driver!

I insist, I insist... can I buy you some Ohlins shocks, AP Racing 6-pots, Dymag carbon wheels and a pair of Tillet carbon seats whilst I'm at it
- it's the very least I can do to say thanks for taking it away for the very reasonable price of £45 + delivery!

Not a bad idea... stick it in a 90's Coupe Quattro, or a more recent S3, TT or R32!
I have an as new RS4 Quattro box to go with it... ooooh, tempted! Mind you - might be an easier sale as a complete transplant!

As has been said, fit to 1980s audi such as a 90, look at motorgeek.com been done few times on there. The RS4 box is
the one with the 60 to back 40 to the front isnt it so that be very interesting to see
I often think doing that swap to my 90, so ill up the bid to £55
