Almost a bad day...
Went out this morning for a blat, did at 20 miles then decided to return home.
As I was pulling up to garage I noticed the oil light had come on. Switched engine off quickly and had a look. I pulled the oil pressure switch out
and cranked it over to make sure oil came out of the hole - which none did!!!
To cut a long story shot, I removed the feed pipe to remote filter hoping the filter was blocked, still no oil there. Ended up removing oil pump (not
as easy as it sounds due to pipes and take off for remote filter. I then found that the oil pressure relief valve was stuck open, with a tiny blob of
weld still stuck in it!!!!
I can only assume it has come off the shortened sump, although it was off the previous engine and I cleaned it out well. Cant see where else it can
come from although I do weld in the garage so it could have come from me!
Im gonna take the sump off and pickup out as a precaution I think to make sure there is nothing else!!

Glad it didn't wreck the engine.
