It starts! - it runs! - it MOVES!!

...although it was only 10 yards up and down the drive, it was under its own motive power!

(Strange sensation, after all these years of making)

David

PS: Red-face time - I think I worked out why my contact-breaker dizzy didn't work - several years ago I bought a CVH coil to go with the Bosch electronic dizzy which, at that time, didn't work. So then I fitted the c-b dizzy, forgetting about the coil... and eventually I wondered why the spark was pathetic!

Hmm, don't know about that; from his website, it looks like Mr. J lacks only a bonnet and a handful of nut covers

Way to go, David

Nice one david, its a nice feeling when you get to that point.

To be exact:

1 bonnet
1 boot cover (probably aluminium)
1 battery strap

plus endless little details to make it right for the SVA.

David

Oh - and an inside mirror!

I must admit the last leg of the build seems never ending, pre SVA check lists were longer than the build sheet.

I don't think it'll be Newark - not enough hours in the day to get the work done in that time, and then get through the SVA.

I'd also want to get a fair number of local miles on the clock before I tackle a 100-mile each way trip!

Maybe a show in September...

David
