I'd be happy to take you out but not that close HG5
Mines a pinto 1.6 so is probably the slowest thing around, apparently...
Cheers

bike engines are frantic and fast, car engines are more refined they dont scream like a room full of kids will generally be a bit slower in the
acceleration stake. But you can chat with your passenger at 70mph. I run a zetec powered one 1.8 the brother in law has a 2 litre zetec pushing 200bhp
out and that is very quick its on the sequential box of a bike engine that has the edge over his
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Iirc they'll both have about the same bhp rating, but the car engine will have more torque and be heavier.
I think that's the crux of the argument with performance

If I'm not mistaken the BEC chassis are designed different to take the lighter engines in some manufacturers kits.
Could be wrong.
I think it would be cheaper jst to sell the BEC and buy the CEC if you wanted to change.

Check with some insurance companies for quotes, before you decide which way to jump.
Especially if you are a youngster.
It may prove to be the deciding factor, espewcially where a BEC is involved!
They are getting wise to the BEC performance. No longer is it a 1 litre cheap insurance. Its probably as much or more than my V8 Luego.
Again your age will make a big difference.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards
