Mmmmmm, wish I could do bodywork like that!
Its the only thing that drives me nuts building a car. Fabrication is my forte.
Next car I want a roof!

I'd be interested to see the internal construction, I found it very hard to get to R4's 350 with a steel spaceframe and NO body! Not to
say it's not doable!
I do think the 175mph top speed is optimistic, the drag factor would have to be extremely low to reach that...

Indeed.
Reminded me of this:
quote: The S1100 boasts 190bhp in 208kg. That's over 900bhp per tonne already with the target
of 1000bhp/tonne achievable with a little more development.

Very nice looking car, that spartan V
I doubt the weight too.
It might be possible with a full carbon composite monocoque and very light 13" wheels, otherwise I dont see it happens.
A kart already does around 100kg.
Letone if you put some suspension, body work and brakes on it.

"to power along a steel spaceframe chassis and carbon fibre body that weighs a scarcely credible 300kg".
Does that not say that the steel spaceframe chassis and carbon fibre tub weigh 300kg... i.e. without the running gear!?
It's Evolution Baby!
