Mk 2 Mexico - inspired to get on with the locost!

I was reading through the adopt a driver/builder thread last week, and found it really interesting. If any one wants to adopt me, let me know.

On a similar thread, my mate Paul came around to see me yesterday afternoon in his mk2 Escort Mexico, Lovely machine, fully restored and the engine is breathed on. He put a 2.0 pinto in it. It has a cam, ported and polished head, lightened bottom end and webber 40 carbs. He had it rolling roaded at 130 bhp at the the wheels and I was really impressed. It's quick for a old skool classic.

Made me think a few things, a pinto powered locost will be fast, my car might be a suicide machine! And a zetec or duratec powered car defiantly would be my second choice if I were at the donor stage again.

After he went home I was buzzing, and was fuelled to crack on with my garage, I want my engine as clean as the one in Pauls Escort! So getting back to the thread on adopting a builder, it's really good motivation seeing other peoples projects.....
