Hello all!
A quick post to introduce myself, and thank the members on here whose cars I viewed while looking.
Very happy to say that I collected my new car yesterday afternoon, and it seems that I've chosen the right weather also!
Sorry, only pic I have now, taken last night.

Thank you, and timely I think. I've had a few drives this morning, I do need to remember this! That acceleration is addictive. Car tucked up
now, hopefully another little run tomorrow.
To drive fullpint?
I won't lie, I have stalled more than a couple of times. But not difficult, you just need to concentrate on what's different. I've
managed a few hill starts without rolling back too much, it's been great fun learning about the car today. Looking in my rearview mirrors to see
a bog standard Ford Ka keeping up wasn't enough to ruin the fun.

Quite a bit of both!
Second day, first "failure to proceed" moment as the gearstick linkage snapped.
Two lads, living next door to a friend heard me arrive at his, and walked over to have a look and a chat. They mentioned they were trying to persude
their dad to start a BEC project. Really nice folks, so I offered to take one for a quick loop round the block. Quick burst up a hill, followed by
heading down toward a junction with the gearstick flopping about, feeling more than a little foolish.
Called his dad who came out, helped get the car into second gear, and drove back to my friends house, who was, I think, trying not to chuckle. Gear
linkage out, neighbour took it to his shed, brazed it back together, and back in the car inside of an hour or so! I will need a new one, the weld was
right next to the bush, which destroyed the plastic and has resulted in some play in the gear stick. A functioning get home fix, but I now need either
a new bush or linkage to sort the play out.
What great fun! And how kind from his neighbour.
Oh good, my first forray for parts. Right, where do I start!
