My new Aries locoblade
After a break from kits for the last 3 years, I have just purchased a ARIES Locoblade on Saturday, spent today checking it over, very pleased with it,
new 61 plate and done just 10 miles, still got the bobbles on the tyres, the car belonged to "chesney321" on here, Dave has made a great
job of building the car, a very well put together car, a real credit to him.
Just a 893cc blade engine, but some nice bits fitted, wilwoods, digi dash 2, reverse box, minilites, protechs etc, can't wait to get it on
track, after a few little mods

Cheers Graham, it just feels right to have another BEC, I am sure I will be back at Elvington at some point, but the new Blyton track is just 30
minutes away and cheap, so I think I will be spending most of my time between there and Cadwell

Yes Steve, how did you guess, just looking a a pair of JK Composites for the first mod, the seats fitted are nice seat, very comfy, but quite deep,
and need as much leg room as possible, I was quite suprised it does not feel any smaller inside than the Indy, although externally it is a smaller
car, strange

They look a real simple well put together kit Daniel, a bet they go together very well, they are tiny, but I am 6ft 3" and 15 stone ish and
can get in fine

I had one with a zx9 and I loved it. The only problem I had was that the rear wheels were only 6" wide with 175/60/14 tyres so it broke traction
easily. The tyres were almost new so I couldn't warrant swapping them but I'm sure some 205 a048's would have improved things no
end: mine was way smaller than my. Mnr

Yes, its on 185's at present on 6" rims, hoping to get some 205's AO48's on the rear, leave it on the 185's on the
front, should by enough then for the little 893cc blade.

Wow, that was some mid-life crisis there Paul..... I'm glad you eventually pulled through though and I hope your pipe and slippers are now
securely locked away.
Welcome back to the darkside mate.......
Are you keeping it on the road or trackdays only?

Cheers Phil, yes I enjoyed the TVR Chimaera 500 and the Clio 172 trackcar experience, but I think the Crossfire SRT6 automatic was a step too far
Its the trackday life I am missing, so will be back on track now very soon, but will also be insured for a quick blat on a sunny day
