Ebay, Anyone else buy these seats and Stuggling with the Seller?
Cheap lightweight caterham seats with nice carbon trims
Hi,
found these forsale on ebay, thought that they would do my trick..
They arrived wrapped in one sheet of bubble wrap which they had torn through and been damaged in transit
If anyone else is considering a set of these.. avoid seller 'tricky2809' Because he is proving tricky to get a refund from.
Also he sent me a pair of damaged CSR Arches...
His last words to me -
" I sent the items out in perfect order with royal mail they were tracked and signed for to say they except the items if there was a problem
with the items they should of refused them they need to claim of the post office for the damage occured I feel it was nothing to do with me I sent
them in perfect condition ."
Currently Paypal Claiming for £461, enough to be out of pocket for scrap as this time of year

Unfortunately I think he's got you there if they were signed for on receipt.
I ordered new kitchen worktops this year, I insisted on checking them over before I signed the delivery sheet but the delivery guy said no he hasnt
got time so I refused to accept the delivery.
He came round to my way eventually.
Always check condition of goods before signature.

I didnt sign tho, someone else did on my behalf..
Regardless of that.. if a claim has to be made to Royal Mail, it will have to be him as he paid for and contracted the postage surely?

Receipt signature has nothing to do with condition.
The seller has to get the goods to the customer in the condition they were advertised.
If not, he's not held up his part of the "contract".
If you try get a refund through paypal, they won't refund postage, so sometimes it's worth a bit of aggro to settle with the seller
directly.

Ebay will find in your favor, but you may have to send them back at your cost

Is it always the way that the item is returned before a refund is given?

No, you can get a partial refund and keep them. I think you'll struggle to get a full refund and keep it.

You'll get refund, but you'll be down the postage to return.
On a positive note i know a good place to get top quality seats and wings at a reasonable price.

Reading the ad the thought that ran through my mind was from the wording the it sounded like the seller is selling rejects & returns? but
perhaps that is just me ?

But read the whole ad it just dosen't add up the seller apparently has an unpredictable supply of these to me that implies seconds or seats
that have been stripped out vehicles new or otherwise.

When JK composites send their seats out they come in massive cardboard boxes and inside wrapped in bubble wrap. They might be a few quid dearer but
buying off a reputable company can work out cheaper in the end.
PayPal should find in your favor as they tend to side with the buyer no matter what, but you will have to foot the bill for postage.

Did you ask for the floor mounted bases? Mine are reinforced around the bottom and are very rigid just mounted to the floor.
