My neighbours are going to love me

Found this silencer in my garage, it's a 2.5" racing motorbike silencer. It's rather on the small size.

Anyway thought I would try it on the R1 Indy for a laugh.

Wow what a noise, at idle it sounds great, nice low down grunt, then bring the revs up it sounds awesome. Oh and when I lift off the throttle I get these awesome crackles.

It's certainly rather loud, although not stupidly loud, no louder than a TVR Etc.

I don't know if it's the placebo effect, but the performance seems better aswell, seems to get through the revs much quicker.

I've decided it's staying for now

What sounds like WWIII to me close by, is not at all that loud when at a distance. So all is probably fine.

..so much so that they'll drop a line to the Council.
What will follow is quite a horrifying amount of grief, intrusive observation from the various Environment Agencies and plenty of rather objectionable paperwork. Believe me, the Councils really have nothing better to do than pander to the 'antisocial' neighbour hating element.... it's horrifying.
