midmounted locos
Looking along the lines of a rear mounted Blade engine, chain drive to a Quaffe MC diff, electric reverse, 7 type front end with body work rather like
a shrunk in the drier Audi Sports car ( LeMan C class of course ) Fiesta up rights F/back. Anybody out there already built the body shell and or
designed the chassis. Any thoughts on this from anybody,theres too many 7's out there.

Problem I see with fiesta uprights for the rear is the lack of a handbrake. I'm assuming your talking about the front uprights from a fiesta on all
corners. Whats your plan for driveshafts? I would maybe recommend making your own rear uprights from thick plate and wishbones and using the sierra
rear disc brake bearing housing etc and modifying the drive shaft to suit.
The chassis will be easy to design once you've decided what mechanicals your using and where you want everything else.

spookily enough i am using escort mk3 front hubs on my rears,the fiesta front discs(solid) fit as do granada rear calipers

hey con just out of interest what is your rear set up. sierra diff and up rights, custom driveshafts to the hubs?? I'm looking for a way to use the
common sierra diff and still have discbreaks at the rear. Prob incorporatie BX front brake calipers or subaru maybe just looking

to fastenuf,im going mid engined,escort front hubs,drive shafts,granada calipers and fiesta discs,strange how they all fit(2 washers to space the
calliper and 1 mm off the disc)is all the mods needed

Using the Quaffe rear MC diff ( not the combined reverse and diff ) allows a simple use of a standard rear chain sprocket which allows quick gearing
changes for special circuits etc and allows one to mount an additional light weight disc ( I think you could also use the sprocket sides as well if
you ordered the sprocket without lightening holes )and manual calipher ( a lot of the go cart and buggies use cable operated caliphers ) as a hand
brake. Very light and if one wheel lock up the torque will be transmitted to other side as per the diff. Cool or what.
Fiesta or Escort shafts will fit straight into the diff. It would be simply a matter of using the standard width of the Fiesta set up for everything
to match.
On the subject of Subaru's, are you guys aware that the shock and spring simply unbolts leaving the upright, together with a cool camber adjuster all
ready built in. Any of the Legacy / Imprezza Turbo models will also have ventialted discs, 4 pot calphers ( on the front ) with seperate handbrake (
on the rear ) and the diff will almost certainly have a LSD as standard. Some of the earlier cars can be had for peanuts.

do know that the french car makers use that set up and 80 s volkwagens had a simular top,i read some where that these were incorperated in early
Tigers for the front
