Ball joint help
Hi Guys,
Just after a bit of help for finding some bits:
First of all i need a couple of track rod ends like these (assume it's an escort rack):
And then i also would like to get the lower ball joints that connect the suspension arm to the upright.
I have no idea what the uprights are though if anyone could enlighten me?
Thanks in advance.
Andy

Rack (and therefore TRE) is mk2 Escort
Ball joint is Transit/Sherpa drag link end.
Upright is Escort.

If you ever need to replace it, the top balljoint is from a Vauxhall Chevette.

Some of the replacement transit drag link ends have an extra lip underneath the taper to support the small end of the dust cover - this will stop the
taper from fully engaging in the hub and needs grinding down flush with the taper.
You may find that about 10 mm of the m18 threaded section will need removing to get correct adjustment of the camber, i don't know if this is
neccesary with your earlier chevette upper balljoint setup, but you'll be able to compare against your old ends.
I have also radiused the lower edge of the hub to prevent the dust cover from being pinched/cut on droop, this didn't matter much until dust
boots became part of the mot.
Also don't get mk2 rs1800/2000 track rod ends as they will fit the rack but have an imperial thread&taper at the hub end.
