carbon reinforced PEEK. never heard of that before. Have to say - not as worried as when I thought it was carbon reinforced epoxy. still, I bet you round the heads off them very easily.

says on the website that
"In fact these bolts have a proven higher yeld strength than steel! Although they are lighter than aluminium."

a little further down the page they suggest limiting their use to the most lightly loaded bit of a bike

Yes, I noticed that - let me think of all the aluminium bolts I have on my car...... errr, none! I suppose they'd look pretty nice holding my CF dashboard on, but it would be a bloody expensive way of doing it.

It would be better / cheaper to increase bhp than use cf bolts.

Nice idea but no cigar!!!

They're only for use on bicycles anyway by the look of that site. I'd still be a bit wary of them in any critical areas. My top speed downhill with a tailwind is 48mph, I wouldn't like to think I was trusting them to hold the brakes or handlebars on.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
