locost top tips
this site being a wealth of huuuge amounts of knowledge and experience, i wondered if anyone had any 'top tips' they'd like to
share...
im new to this lark, but i had to smirk contently when i recovered a bottle of lurid red nail varnish from the bin (missus wasnt keen), to use to mark
which nuts ive tightened up!
nice colour, and comes with its own little brush!
i seem to see different uses for mundane things nowadays!
ive also used the heat=expand, cold=contract method for fitting things like bearings, that i learned off watching 'american hotrod'.
whats your favourite nugget 'o wisdom?

To remove stubborn outer races of old bearings, run a bead of weld around the inside with the mig welder.
It shrinks it out.

Top Tip is to tell the missus that the bits and bobs you've just bought only cost a fraction of what she thought

Whilst were on the subject.
I think that this counts as locost.
Did you know that you can see infra red transmitters operating through a camcorder / phone camera / web cam?
Anyone got any other OTWPPTTWTS ?
Cheers,

My top tip....
It's not advisable to drive around with a video camera strapped to your face.
Who the f**K tightened this up!

Another one - Buy your bits from a supplier that can offer good aftersales advice. This has been invaluable for me and resulted in a swift trouble
free build.
Thankyou Mark.
