FYI Striker weight
I usually read posts about kit car weights so I thought some of you may be interested in my Striker weight as measured today on a set of scales.
Striker, fly screen, Toyota 20V 4AGE, IRS (drum shafts converted to disc), Sierra type 9 GBX, Sierra diff, 14" alloys with 185 profile R888
tyres, standard Sierra brakes all round.
540kg with 1/2 a tank of fuel (15 ltrs)
48/52 weight split front/rear.

Good weight for a CEC and also well balanced.

Mines IRS but the live axle Strikers are a little lighter at around the 525kg mark in a similar spec.
You also be interested to know that the SVA weight as tested at Cardiff matched this figure. I know there was some doubt about the test centre
scales.

Seeing as we're talking Sylvas:
My Mojo (full screen, heater, 1.8 zetec, 14" alloys with 185/60 A539s, FULL tank of fuel) is 544kg. Jeremy Phillips does design nice light
cars!
Oh, and the split is 40%F 60%R... traction off the line is

My live axel BEC striker (Honda CBR1000) was 398kg (dry weight) at SVA. This uses the "standard" road going chasis - apparently they can
be as low as 325Kg using the light weight race variant of the chasis.
