Cerbera to BEC?

First of all.....hello people! im toying with the idea of selling my tvr cerbera to buy a bike engined kit car such as the westfield megablade, or i quite like the look of the stm zx9 on the classifieds on pistonheads(anyone know it or its owner?). Anyway, i want a bike engine as im not allowed a real bike, heh heh, and its the closest thing ill get to owning one. Its going to be my 2nd car as i have another for work/commute/etc. All the maintenance will be done by myself being a mech engineer by trade.

I was wondering if there was anyone near Oxfordshire area i could meet up with to chat with/be taken out in your bec?

If its the Orange one with the cage then its a chap called Ben Marriot. I think several people on here know him personally and from what Ive seen it looks a very nice build so should make a good buy.

Im probably a little too far away for you in north Hants (about 1hr 15m from Oxford), but you're welcome to pop in if you're down this way.

Chris

PS If you buy it and don't want the cage I'll buy it off you!

You certainly won't be the only one - had a guy call about mine who was doing the same.

Incidentally Oxford is pretty close to South Wales really... I know a great car for sale there.... blah blah.....

Hi there,

I live just south of Oxford in Abingdon and I've just built a Fisher Fury Spider Fireblade.

You're more than welcome to come and have a look if you'd like at some point.

I'm getting itchy feet to start another build again so you never know if you really like it........

Anyway, let me know if you're interested via u2u.

Cheers,

Matthew

if you are interested in buying the car, I know Ben and can put you in touch. I've been in the car in the past and I think its very nicely put together. Stuart Taylor has had it on his stand area at Donnington a year or two ago - so that should give you an idea of what standard its built to.

Sound like i'm going to go into sales pitch here but ......... to give you an idea of the standard, he had the original climbing frame (full stuart taylor cage) removed and replaced with a T45 one (lighter and just as strong - if not stronger) build specially for the car by caged and then sprayed to match the car.

I've just done similar - well I bought a bike engined kit car and haven't yet got round to selling my TVR Griffith Will be selling it when the weather improves though.

speed8 on these forums recently sold his Cerb too and is currently building a bike engined MAC#1.

Sorry can't help you with the meet up etc as I'm oop north, just saying hi from the TVR->BEC clan
