Quaife Quick steering rack

Has anybody got any experience of the Quaife quick steering rack? Just wondered if it was a worthwhile purchase or not?

Better ratio Steering should not make your car "twitchy". Only the wrong setup or poor castor can do that.
Try increasing your castor angle if you can.
My car is 1 1/4 turns lock to lock and she hugs bends without any twitches.
The only twitches come from my underpants!

my preference would be for the quickest rack possible with enough castor to keep it straight. My new top bones will be castor adjustable, if i ever get round to making them. The rack i have is quick but not enough (2.9?)

Hi as said above it's not the quick rack that makes the car to twitchy it the setup.
Dont expect quaife to produce any kits soon as both myself and stuart taylor have had 25 kits each on order for over 12 month and they just can't be ar**d to get them done.

cheers matt

I have a Rally Design quick rack - but that's a Escort type - they don't have Sierra ones.

For me it was toe-in that affected the handling - originally I had zero toe-in, and that was very twitchy. Put on a little bit of toe-in and it got quite civilised.
