kit car company's
OK its my turn to have a rant !
2 weeks ago a certain firm said they had a certain part ( posted on this site i think it was 140 of them )that i needed for my build !
so i decided to phone them and order one !
Ive already got 1 on order and as yet its not appeared, so now i have 2 parts on order ( i can use both as i have 2 cars)
so last week the chap said phone me tomorrow and check, so i did, and he replied yes have one here , so payed and ordered a few more parts as well,
and was told it going to be posted in the morning,
so being a sucker that i am thought great will be able to get on with my build ( or at least get it on its wheels ! )
so over the weekend i thought the part hasn't turned up, so phoned him today,
and was told the parts didn't come in !,
then got told they was welded up wrong !
and i should get it by the end of the week,
then in the next breath he said they will get them hopefully by next week, ( so i work out I'm getting it before he receives them, wow
that's magic or kit car bullshit)
so why do these people lie like poo !
if i had of known they didn't have one in stock i would of waited a while longer for the first chap ( who is having his own problems at the
moment)
it really pisses me off ,
so now i have payed even more money out and still have nothing to prove and have to wait some more !
if they told the truth in the first place the kit car market would be a better place !
or do they just want to run the company's on other peoples money !
which is earned by a lot of hard work!
i can spend other peoples money but chose not to !

I'm in total agreement with you - it's ridiculous how we're expected to just put up with it.
What's also annoying is when you go to a kit manufacturer and are made to feel a bit of an intruder on someone else's patch, rather than
somone who's about to part (or already has) with serious amounts of cash that isn't withdrawn from the magic well at the bottom of the
garden!
Name and shame them anyway - if it was a regular car manufacturer you would, so I don't see why people are so protective of company's that
have taken their cash and KNOW they are taking the pi$$ out of them at the same time!

Same problem, same company (pretty sure), sounds like same part, ordered for same reason (stated in stock), given exactly same answers and I've
waited just over 2 weeks now I think. Have some other parts on order from them via another company as they were selling them cheaper (wierd I know!)
been waiting on them coming up to a month now! My builds completely stopped now and I have loads of time on my hands while I'm not at work. Does
annoy me but I understand they are busy at the moment but from my point, you shouldn't run a company like this or treat your customers like
this.

service is easy
kit car building for me has spanned thirty years,in the main the products have moved on but the companys behind them have not.I run a service
business, not difficult,do what you say and customers recommend.I would find it more trouble to mess them about

Cue post from Calvin expressing disbelief in someone being unable to contact GTS. I tried to get hold of them when I was looking for a kit, when they
didn't answer or respond to emails I went elsewhere.

is he the chief bouncer? At least you have had your rant authorised. mind you you have not actually stated exactly who the rant is about as a specific
statement. Hope you get sorted asap.

Ah so the names out. As a suggestion, I always find it best to E mail Darren, he usually responds within a day, usually. Scott's quite helpful
there but doesn't know nowt about the stock (not his fault as its not his job really). I spoke to Rally Design ref:wishbones which are coming
via Darren and they have same answer as us. Next week! Oh roll on next week.

I spoke to scott the other day, apparently its a supplier issue, the guy that makes his wishbones, de-dions etc let him down so he has had to find a
new supplier and its put orders back a couple weeks or so.
Before anyone has a go i would like to add that this is what i was told by a GTS employee, i have no other information, i am not taking sides, merely
sharing the details i have.
Cheers.

simple
as with any other company in all areas of the country, you can get a refund if the item is not in stock when they say. simple. if the item is not
sent, or suddenly is not in stock. get a refund. go elsewhere...................
they will then eventually realise truth is the best policy.

Yeah but the price is right, I've seen the kit fitted so am confident in it and some company's exclusively make some parts. Stuck between
a rock and a harder place. And also I'm sure Rally Design are advertising stuff at the wrong price others have agreed but they stick by it so
I'm not gonna shout about it. Sshh don't tell everyone though.

Excellent. Start work 3rd week November so should have some money coming in. Good plan getting everything in stock beforehand, makes sense.
You'll be putting a link up when they're ready to go will you? Can't wait, thanks Mark.
