Locost camcorder (with video)
Picked up a Mustek DV5000 camcorder of ebay last week for £21 delivered what a bargain !
Then spent yesterday making a camera mount and today testing in the sunshine.
I took it apart after my initial test the wind noise was far to bad even with foam tape over the microphone so I've removed the microphone and
put it under the dash with a lot better results ( obviously on a cable)
I've even managed to edit some video and put it on youtube which for me being useless with computers is the biggest achievement of all.
Have a look and I'm sure you will let me know what you think!

Good point.
The video makes me very jealous though. Would like to be in that seat, but it seems a long way off at the moment.
Enjoy

I've backed the boost of to 8psi it was a total hand full at 12psi you still have to be very careful out of second gear corners but I'm
getting the hang of it now! Long term I think an electronic boost controller would be a good investment.

Looks good what do you find the turbo to be like driving wise?
Using an r1 lump in my Indy buildand have been reading up on the turbocharging side of things for post sva.
Did you do it yourself?
What sort of power are you making over stock?
Pez
You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.

not bad for £20. a bit blocky in places. and the sound skipped a bit, but still quite watchable.
very good as a locost solution.
Buy some wasp killer, as I couldn hear one all the way through the track. Sounded a bit angry to me

Its all home built I'm hoping for close to 200hp @ the wheels when/if it goes on a rolling road.
As for driving a turbo bec a handful is probably the best way to describe it, I really think on a tight track it would be quicker without the turbo!

The shift light's set low about 9.500 its suppose to be sequential but it revs so quick they all come on at once hence the reason for setting it
low!
And its way to lowly geared but that's next winters project changing the axle.

Even your bloody camera mount is perfect!
If I come to the next meet, can I sit on Trev's lap? He won't mind, he likes it.

Swmbo doesn't call me a perfectionist for nothing then!
I think I'm going to start charging for rides, 3 up might be a little bit tight even for Trev's liking.
