Zetec on Carbs
I have been in touch with KNN manifolds and they are goin g to fabricate the inlet for my GSXR Carbs. However, before doing this I want to make sure
the GSXR600 carbs are the best suited for the 1.8 Zetec or would I be better going for R1 or ZZR1100 or?
Thanks....
John

Cheers Kris,
I notice in your photos your starter and alternator.
Q - are they just standard staretr and alternator for the Zetec or have you used different types?
Thanks,
John

Can not speek for what Kris has got
But
You want the starter from a 1.8 cvh sierra or a 2L dohc sierra.
Alternator depends on how deep your pockets are You can by a bolt on kit or adapt the standard unit or again if on a budget the alternator from 2L
Dohc sierra works well if a little chunky with out alot of work.
cheers

As big_wasa said
My starter came from an 1800CVH sierra its a lucas and the part number is LRS707.
My alternator is the same one i used on the pinto engine, its from a Bedford Rascal or Suzuki SJ jeep. I removed the V belt pulley wheel on the
Bedfors alternator and replaced it with the multigroove zetec alternator pulley.
