I'm in the dreaded "95% finished" stage!
Not a huge list left, but they'll all take time...

Yes, as someone on TOL or Locost NA said....
95% finished, so only 80% to go then...

Don't panic - I didn't take you seriously - my ire is aimed at my alternator just now... (Lucas, Prince of Darkness has wielded his wand
over it)

No problem...nobody takes me seriously anyway..
I love the "Lucas, Prince of darkness" bit....I thought that was just a US remark...never heard it come out of England before...

Must admit that's where I heard it first - just perfectly matched my past experience, that's all!

The lucas thing is American - thats the only palce I have heard it. I dont think I have ever had a problem with lucas stuff, apart from their earlier
alternators wearing out the centre brushes after about 60k miles.....

Yup Lucas stuff is OK!
It was designed for the British market though. Where the rust will destroy the car long before anything electrical will need replacing (including
bulbs).

Fletch,
That picture was a shock to me as well! It was the first one with me in the seat, and it made me realise how small the car really is...
...mind you, the fact that you could touch the road with your knuckles while doing 100mph is a sobering thought.

I used to ride motorbikes a lot, but came off a number of times, thankfully without great harm to myself. Eventually SWMBO said 'no more
bikes'.
So this is my bike substitute, nice and safe as far as my missus is concerned. Ahem....
cheers,
David
