brake master cylinder problems on dutton

I have a new master cylinder off a mk2 escort (2 lines) and it fits great on to my pedal box.
as this was part build I do not Know which port is front which is rear, or are they both the same?
hope you can help.

Outlet closest to the front of the vehicle will be the rear brakes - outlet closest to the pedal will be the front brakes on a tandem cylinder system for rwd.
