Weather protection when trailering part built car

I've had a couple of enquiries about working on part built cars. It would involve them being moved to my workshop. I can organise the trailer etc, but the downpours today have inspired me to consider how best to protect the cars from the weather.

Ideally I would like to find some kind of tarpaulin that could be easily and securely fixed to the trailer once the car is on it.

Can anyone suggest anything

TIA
John

I managed nearly 200 miles on the motorway with my old car (the avatar car) wrapped up in a couple of tarpaulins and plenty of rope / ratchet straps. All stayed nice and secure even if it took some wrapping.

Tarpaulin covered car travelling at any speed is asking for trouble unless you get a lovely soft-lined one.

If it's going to be a reasonably regular thing for business, why not get a covered trailer? Al (Wadders) on this site makes and sells them

I used a couple of old double bed sheets to protect the gel coat from scratches from a flapping tarpaulin myself - did the job anyway

Why not make up two hoops with a flat plate at the bottom. Place these on the trailer so the plate is under the car wheels, secure the frame and car with straps then cover with a tarp, keeping the tarp away from the car
